Hello, as some may know, there is a wonderful event that is look for a bit of help, the event is called Kitchener Comic Con. Today they is seeking $2500 in local community support to secure insurance and maintenance fees that are required by Kitchener City Hall to host this years event .
Kitchener Comic Con, has has accumulated foot traffic of 2500 attendees in 2015 to over 5000 in 2016. The KCC team responded by organizing a two-day convention for 2017 to accommodate the growing numbers, adding unexpected costs. Like many events in the Region of Waterloo, Kitchener Comic Con has had their share of struggles. “We are aiming for over 6000 attendees this year over two days. That alone has doubled the costs show,” says KCC founder, Ronald Hoppe. “People of all ages come out to see their favourite villains and heroes from comics and movies. For us, it’s very important to ensure that that happens.” The event hosts the latest in comics, merchandise, gaming, movies, cosplay, International Guests & more. This year's two-day event takes place April 1st and 2nd, at Kitchener City Hall, Saturday, April 1, 11am to 8pm and Sunday, April 2, 11am to 4pm.
