Melissa Rauch to Voice Harley Quinn

Warner Brothers is working on an animated film called "Batman and Harley Quinn". It will have Batman (of course), Nightwing, and obviously Harley Quinn teaming up to stop a global disaster. Kevin Conroy returns to voice Batman but the studio is looking to cast someone different to voice Harley. According to Empire, The Big Bang Theory star, Melissa Rauch, will be lending her voice to bring Harely Quinn to life. It is strange that Tara Strong will not be cased even though she did an amazing job as Harley in the Arkham games and other animated series. No doubt Warner bros. is wishing to bank on Rauch's fame to boost interest in the movie.

In an interview, Rauch said:

"I love that Harley is a badass and, beyond that, that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal....She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It's a dream role"

As for the story, Batman (Conroy) and Nightwing (Loren) are said to be teaming up with Harley (Rauch) in order to stop Poison Ivy (PAget Brewster) and the Plant-Master Jason Woodrue from launching a global catastrophe. I honest believe that Harley is asked to tag along because of her close relationship with Ivy in the comics.

Batman and Harley Quinn is to be released straight to DVD and Blu-ray this summer.
