When I arrived at the Cosplay Potluck Picnic, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly organizer along with the people at the event.

Since it was raining outside, the event was moved into the Kitchener Public Library and the turnout was good but the weather outside could have been nicer. However, it was still business as usual for the event.

One of the events they had was they had an ice breaker which they asked a series of questions to see if we have ever done any of these things in our life. Since the group was an introverted group, it was mostly designed to get people to talk and get to know each other.

As for the picnic, they had a wide variety of food options that were on the table including Timbits, chips, lemonade soda, and dip in vegetables. So a wide variety of food options for everyone.

Some of the costumes people dressed up in was Sting, Spiderman, Frankenstein, and even a cat. One of the coolest costumes I saw was the one girl that was dressed up as a cat and the other guy that was dressed up as Spiderman.

Also, another game they had was they had a Twister game which I did try to practice was amazing and fun. It almost felt like yoga where I was trying to stay in my poses but except there was a lot of laughter and fun. I got disqualified from the round as I fell down but no big deal.

One of the guys was being filmed and he was very successful in playing Twister complexly blind and by covering his eyes. He was so successful at it that he made almost no errors when playing the game. He played on his own which was very brave of him to do.

As for the prizes, drum-roll, there were 3 bags of goodies that were being given in spirit Halloween bags where we all had to go and enter into a content. The lucky winners received one of the 3 bags and also 2 other lucky contestants received an empty, orange re-usable bag.

I will definitely be attending this event next year and all other future events as I am a big fan of Anime and other cool events related to the Geek world. I will say, I am a geek myself and I wore a Superman hat as well.
