Whovians celebrate at these words! A crossover between Titan Comics and the Doctor Who Universe has been announced for this coming fall! The crossover comic, titled Doctor Who: The Lost Dimension, will involve the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Doctor incarnations who must join forces to bring down a powerful threat that will take all four doctors to take it down.

Doctor Who, the British science fiction television show, centers around a Time Lord who goes by “the Doctor”; Time Lords hail from the planet Gallifrey and are an alien species with regenerative abilities and can commandier time travel technology, in the Doctor’s case the TARDIS (time and relative dimension in space), a blue Police phone box. Time Lords can regenerate in a new form if mortally wounded or killed, this aspect of the show written in so as to continue the show when the original Doctor, William Hartnell, grew very ill while the show was in production. The Doctor seeks out and takes on human companions from Earth, following him through time and space on adventures and the fight for justice.
Doctor Who has been on air since 1963, running in two separate series; the first ran for 26 seasons from 1963 to 1989, had a television movie released in 1996, then the series was revived in 2005 and has been running for ten seasons to date. The show is currently in its tenth season and the current Doctor is Peter Capaldi (known for his roles in film and television, most recently in Paddington).
The crossover storyline will cover all four Doctor storylines in this comic universe, bringing together the latest Doctor incarnations together to defeat the Void; the Void is a silent realm, hungry and bent on destroying the universe via time and space, and the four Doctors must band together to stop it and save everything! Written by George Mann and Cavan Scott (writers for the 11th and 9th Doctor comics, respectively) and art by Rachael Stott and Rod Fernandes.
The comic series is set to release its Alpha issue on September 2, will contain eight chapters spanning over three months, and will feature three covers for its first issue. Mark your calenders, everyone! We’re going for a ride in the TARDIS.
