“Castlevania” Series Voice Cast Announced

As we discussed in a previous article, Netflix is set to produce and release an anime-style series based on the classic video game franchise “Castlevania”. As an update the series’ progress, the voice cast has been chosen and was announced recently! The series’ premiere was on July 7, so if you were wondering just who was set out the voice in this series before checking it out, here’s a quick run down for you!

In a video statement release on YouTube and Facebook by producer Ali Shakar and Graham McTavish (who will be providing the voice of Dracula

Trevor Belmont, the protagonist from Castlevania III, is being voiced by Richard Armitage; Richard, you may know better as Thorin Oakenshield from the “Hobbit” trilogy. His co-star in battle will be none other than Alucard, who will be voiced by James Callis, who appeared in Battlestar Galactica as Dr. Gaius Baltar.

The voice of the mystic Sypha Belnades will be provided by Alejandra Reynoso, who has worked on the “Winx Club” animated series. Lisa Tepes, the mother of Alucard and wife of Dracula, will be played by Emily Swallow (who portrayed Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and Amara/The Darkness on Supernatural). The Bishop will be voiced by Matt Frewer, who portrayed Max Headroom and voiced Panic in Hercules; and Tony Amendola (Bra’tac in Stargate SG-1) will voice the Elder, the grandfather of Sypha and the leader of Speakers.
