The Cartoon Network’s adult animated sci-fi sitcom “Rick and Morty” has been taking pop culture by storm in the past year, based around the misadventures of alcoholic mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his tag-along grandson, the guileless and apprehensive Morty Smith. Many of their adventures involve Morty attemptimg to assist his nihilistic and eccentric grandfather with his many experiments and escapades, often involving aliens, time travel, and science. The duo, along with the rest of the Smith family and other supporting characters, have caused a lot of buzz within the adult nerd community, as the show seamlessly combines crude adult humour with sci-fi elements.

With the rise in popularity, we have seen numerous pieces of merchandise arriving in stores for consumers to purchase, from figures to clothing to accessories. However, it has been recently announced that a “Rick and Morty” board game is now available for purchase!
The game is titled “Rick and Morty: Total Rickall Card Game” and is based on the episode of the same name. The description is as follows:
“Rick has locked the family inside their house. Why? Because the family has grown. Parasites masquerading as family and close friends have infiltrated and have inserted pleasant memories into everyone's minds to make them think they're real — and more keep coming! You must figure out which of these new, zany characters are real and which ones are parasites that need to be exterminated. Think you've got what it takes to save the world?”
The game is a multiplayer co-op game with two modes – basic and advanced, the latter of which there are two teams and each player is apportioned a hidden role of either Real or Parasite. The Parasites must strive to keep one parasite player alive and the Reals must figure out who is who. Shooting a Parasite is good, but shooting a Real has consequences, and there is no player elimination but beware of a secret identity change!
The game is a tile tabletop game for 2-4 players, and contains sets of character cards, identity cards, and actions card to play through the storyline. The game is said to be easy to learn and fun! It can be purchased through Amazon for $19.50 CDN or $23.95 US. Are you interested in playing this audacious and comical tabletop? Let us know!
